What to expect

What to expect

We know it's not always easy to walk into something new.

Whether you've never gone to church before or you're a lifelong follower of Jesus, you are welcome here.  This is a place where you can come as you are to find new ideas, perspectives, and friends.

What should I wear?
Wear what you like. There's no spoken or unspoken dress code. There's no right or wrong. What matters to God and to us is that you are here.

Which service should I attend?
Here are some things to think about as you make that decision:

Location: The closer you live to church, the easier it is for you to be actively involved. We have campuses in San Mateo, Menlo Park, and Mountain View.

Environment: Casual with coffee? Try the Cafe. Traditional? 8 a.m. at 950 Santa Cruz. Under 35? You'll feel at home at Sanctuary, on Sunday evenings. Our San Mateo campus is contemporary and welcoming. In Mountain View we fill a church hall with lively music and a family feel. If you have kids or teens, please take a look at which service times at each location offer safe, fun, and friendly age-specific programs for them.

What about the offering basket?
Please let the offering basket go by and be our guest. As members of our church, we give joyfully in worship and gratitude to God to support the ongoing work of the church. We do hope you will fill out a Connect Card from the bulletin, drop it in the basket, and let us know how we might serve you.

What else?
We follow Jesus by loving God, loving people, and serving the world. We invite you to learn more about the many ways we do this by taking home a copy of the Pioneer, our semi-annual catalog, and by browsing this web site.  Each campus has a Connection Center and we invite you to drop by.  You can reach us by phone at 650.323.8600 or by email.

We hope to see you soon.
